Head Start
Mountain Projects, Inc. Head Start received ARRA funds in the amount of $105,835. COLA and half of the Quality Improvement money in the amount of $61,483 was used to permanently increase and retain certain staff positions. These positions include teachers, teacher assistants, rotating subs, bus monitors and family service workers. The other half of the Quality Improvement money in the amount of $34,514 will be used as a one-time funding opportunity to replace and up-grade the playground equipment at the Edwina G. Hall Head Start in Clyde. The remaining amount of $9,838 is the indirect cost that includes an audit of the allocated funds. This money is obligated from July 1,2009 through September 30, 2010.
